Dólar Blue

Due to the economic crisis in Argentina, the government has imposed restrictions on the access to dollars for Argentinian citizens. In addition, other social and economic issues, such as inflation, have led to the emergence of a parallel exchange rate known as the Blue Dollar. This unofficial rate is influenced by supply and demand, resulting in an overpriced dollar compared to the official rate.
That means, if you can access it, you'll make your money stretch much further here. You'll hear about it!

How to get the dollar blur?

Try to do this transaction at safe and reliable places

You can sell your dollars to reliable people that you know in Cordoba. There are "Cuevas" (cavers) where you sell your dollars. Try to go to safe ones. If you are in a hotel, you may ask about safe places to exchange money.

El Banco Central de Argentina has implemented a measure to prevent foreign tourists from resorting to the parallel currency market by allowing them to pay with virtual wallets at the MEP exchange rate, which generally offers a higher rate than the Blue Dollar. Remember to use a virtual wallet such as Brubank, Apple Pay, and others for this purpose.
